Do we need a car?

Although the island is small (it only takes 2 hours to drive around the whole island), it's recommended that you rent a car - if you feel you can drive on the left. A car can be rented from about $40 US a day. For your rental car needs, we recommend TDC Thrifty Car Rentals. They can pick you up at the villa and drive you into downtown Basseterre to select a car, and arrange for your temporary St. Kitts drivers license. There are several other rental companies on the island including Avis.
